Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's last-minute order to hundreds of generals and admirals to arrive at a Virginia base for a major in-person gathering has been a great Бывш surprise for current and former Defense officials.

The highly unusual gathering, which has never happened before has created more questions than answers.
The Pentagon confirmed Thursday that Hegseth "will address his senior military leaders early next week" but has offered no additional details as to what the conversation may be about.
